Cyclone Chapala struck a heavy blow in Yemen on November 2, 2015. People were killed by cyclone Chapala’s winds and floods. Cyclone Chapala caused a vast amount of property damage. Also, Yemen is often plagued with destructive, desert dust storms! Yemen is the sworn enemy of the Jews of Israel. This deadly, destructive cyclone storm may be a warning to the citizens of Yemen to quit opposing God’s chosen people, the Jews.
Both the island of Socotra and mainland Yemen have suffered heavy loss from wind and water caused by Cyclone Chapala. A cyclone in Yemen is very rare. In fact, there is no recorded record of a cyclone ever hitting Yemen with such destructive force.
“Satellite estimates show some areas near the coastline received as much as 8 or 9 inches of rainfall from Chapala. Those areas only get about 4 inches of rain per year, on average.” (1)
On the island of Socotra, at least, three people were killed and more than 200 people were injured. One man, on the mainland of Yemen, trying to escape the flood of water caused by the cyclone was killed when he fell from his roof of refuge.
It may be that God is using this cyclone and dust storms to warn the citizens of Yemen to quit opposing God’s chosen people, the Jews. Yemen is the sworn enemy of the Jews of Israel. The government of Yemen supports terrorist groups whose goal it is to destroy the Jews. The terrorist groups Hamas and al-Qaeda have deep roots and strong support in Yemen.
Hamas has taken part in demonstrations in Yemen against Israel. This is the same Muslim, Hamas terrorist group, who like cowards, use children and women as human shields. These evil terrorists crawled through tunnels, like rattlesnakes, to kill Jews, and then, they cried wolf when they were attacked in Gaza by Israel.
Yemen strongly supports Arab Palestinians having their own state in the land of Israel. Jews are not welcomed to Yemen. Their passports are rejected. Yemen has in the past denied Israel the right to fly in their air space when passing through.
Yemen denying Israel passage through their territory is just like the Amorite king did in the past. As a result of threatening and attacking Israel, Sihon, king of the Amorites, lost the land to Israel in a war that was started by the Amorites. God always makes sure that the enemies of Israel are defeated. The enemies of Israel may have temporary victories, but they will all lose in the final battle with King Jesus.
Numbers 21:21-24 “And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, saying, 22 Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders. 23 And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel. 24 And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.”
“Yemen occupies a strategic position at the entrance to the Red Sea and its control of the Bab-el-Mandeb, Israel’s outlet to the Indian Ocean and the Far East, which increased its importance in the eyes of Israeli strategists.” (2)
Since Yemen has control of the Bab-el-Mandeb, they could attempt to prevent Israel from using this exit to defend itself against enemies in the Indian Ocean area. Also, Yemen could allow the enemies of Israel entrance through the Bab-el-Mandeb to attack Israel.
It is stated that Yemen is 100% Muslim. Since their god, Allah, is supposed to be so powerful, why does he allow them to be without the proper amount of water most of the time? Has Allah fallen asleep? Yemen is continuing to turn into a desert. At the present time, 95% of Yemen is continuing to develop the characteristics of a desert. Wells are going dry. Agriculture is drying up on the vine. Sand dunes are rising all over Yemen. Dust storms are choking the citizens of Yemen.
We have no hate for the Muslims of Yemen! But, we do stand against the false religion of Islam. We love the enemies of the Jews! But, we do not love their opposition against the Jews. We encourage all Muslims to come to the God of Abraham, the God of the Bible. It is time to listen to God’s warnings! Repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus as your Saviour before it is too late!
Matthew 5:44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
