Israel is seriously considering switching to a digital shekel as their only form of money. Currently, the Israel shekel is worth about .25 cents in U.S. money. The digital shekel and other forms of digital money may be used by the Anti-Christ to control the world monetary system.

Israel Plans to Eliminate Cash

If cash is completely replaced by the digital shekel and other forms of digital money, the government would have complete control of how and where people spend their money. Officials in Israel say that many people cheat the Israeli government out of taxes by using cash to buy products and services. It is estimated that Israel will save billions of dollars by converting all of their money to a digital shekel. In a few years, cash may be a thing of the past in Israel.

Digital Shekel Controlled By Israel Government

The digital shekel will be distributed directly from banks in Israel. Israel’s government finance ministry will control the shekel as it passes through the banks. It is likely that numerical codes in digital bank accounts will be used to regulate the amount of digital shekels an individual has. These codes will be used to buy goods and services.

Technology Can be Monitored by the Government

Devices, such as cell phones, can be used to make purchases with the digital shekels. It will take time to determine the details of how these cyber wallets will work. Cyber security for the digital shekel must also be addressed before this form of currency can be safely used. Nearly a quarter of the Israeli population use cash at the present time. This allows those who are dishonest to evade paying taxes. Digital shekels will deter people from making deals under the table with cash.

The Anti-Christ Will Control the Money of the World

During the seven-year Tribulation the Anti-Christ will control all the monetary systems in the world. If cash was available, it would be hard to control, as it is presently. Therefore, it is likely that the whole world will be cashless during the Tribulation.

Digital Money Will Reinforce the Mark of the Beast

Those who refuse to take the Mark of the Beast during the seven-year Tribulation will not be able to buy or sell food and other things. Digital money would make this easy to enforce. Anyone without the Mark will not be allowed to spend digital money. Their account can simply be closed or put on hold until they take the Mark of the Beast. The Anti-Christ will have his evil cohorts all over the world enforcing his demonic, monetary system. The digital shekel and other digital money will open the way for the financial system endorsed and enforced by the Anti-Christ.

Buying or Selling In the Seven-Year Tribulation

Revelation 13:16-17 “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
