HIBM Editorial by Avi Goldstein * Terrorist Tunnels From Gaza To Israel! part 2 – Dr. K. Daniel Fried, Editor in Chief – copyright © 2014 www.hopeofisrael.net
Palestinian Hamas militants have been caught trying to sneak into Israel through their tunnels with a means to capture Israel Defense Force Soldiers and hold them for a ransom. Sedatives and handcuffs have been found on them for the purpose of carrying out their evil plot. These Hamas serpents have been captured on video retreating back into their holes. Several IDF soldiers have been captured or killed by these deadly Hamas terrorists sneaking out of these tunnels in surprise attacks. When a liar is caught, they often try to lie their way out of it. But, now the world knows, the true purpose of the tunnels is to terrorize the nation of Israel!
Approximately, twenty-six days after the war in Gaza started, Hamas agreed to another cease-fire so that the people of Gaza could get humanitarian aid. Just as they often have done, they lied again. Hamas broke the truce shortly after it began. Hamas’ serpent-like terrorists were sent through a tunnel. Three IDF soldiers were killed by these Hamas tunnel terrorists. At first, it looked like an IDF soldier, whose name is Golden, was captured by the murdering terrorists. But, later the murdered body of Golden was found at the scene of the Hamas terrorist attack. It is hard to tell when Hamas is telling the truth because they lie so much. Israel could have denied finding Golden’s body, but they are not liars, like Hamas. It is normal for Hamas to tell lies in order to deny responsibility for their evil deeds!
When IDF soldier Golden disappeared, it appeared that the Hamas’ lying tongue was spitting in the face of world leaders again. Hamas did lie about the cease-fire! The United States President Barack Obama and U. N. chief Ki-moon challenged Hamas for lying about the cease-fire and demanded the immediate return of the captured IDF soldier, Golden! This was a good step by world leaders towards standing up for Israel. But, they need to take a much stronger stand for Israel against its enemies! These world leaders need to get on track and stand strong for Israel against Hamas, the enemies of the world! Israel reported the truth about Golden when they found him, but Hamas would have told another lie if it glorified their unholy cause!
One brave man of Gaza said the following about Hamas:
“Abul Qumbus blamed Hamas for his losses, saying the Islamic militants — who seized Gaza in 2007 — are sacrificing the territory’s civilians for their militant ideology.
‘They just want to have power and money,’ he said. ‘They are stuck like a virus. It is very hard to remove them because they took power in the name of religion.’” (2)
This man took a great risk making a statement like this against Hamas. It has been established that Hamas will torture and even kill those who oppose their terrorist group. But, this Gaza civilian felt like he was at the end of his rope. Something must be done with these murdering, Hamas tyrants!
As the result of it appearing that an IDF soldier, Golden, had been captured, Israel launched an attack on the Hamas rebels. The IDF soldiers were trying very hard to retrieve their friend and fellow soldier, whom they thought was kidnapped. Israel cherishes the life of their people. One of the Hamas suicidal cohorts blew himself up with an explosive vest, taking part in killing three IDF soldiers. Sad to say, as already stated, IDF soldier, Golden was slaughtered by the vicious attack of Hamas tunnel terrorists.
Hamas places no value on their own soldiers. Neither do they place any value on the people of Gaza. They hide among civilians, putting them in harms way. Many of the tunnels come up into the homes of civilians. Often these tunnels are booby trapped to blow up when IDF soldiers enter them. The Hamas pretend to be freedom fighters for the people of Gaza. But, in truth, they use them for human shields of death. They hide their murderous weapons and terrorist soldiers among the civilians. They hide in homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.
Hamas gives Israel no choice. In order to protect themselves, Israel must attack the areas where innocent people are in danger. This danger is often in the middle of the civilians of Gaza. In the judgment before God, I am certain that the blood of the innocent will be on the hands of the murdering Hamas terrorists. As a result of these attacks by Israel, caused by Hamas, Gaza civilians are killed. Hamas has no problem killing the people of Gaza or even their own soldiers. Their true goal is to wipe the people of Israel off the face of the earth and anyone else who will not bow down to their Muslim god!
Because of the constant terrorist attacks through the tunnels of terror, Israel was forced to attack Gaza and destroy these tunnels of death. This war has come with a high cost of lives and property. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a hero. He was willing to put his reputation on the line to protect the innocent people of Israel. Here are the true words of Israel’s Prime Minister:
“‘We will not end this operation without the neutralization of the tunnels, whose only purpose is destruction,’ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today in a televised address. ‘That need was clarified today,’ he added, referring to an infiltration attempt by Palestinian militants from Gaza into southern Israel through one of the tunnels.” (3)
The love of Prime Minister Netanyahu for the IDF soldiers and the people of Israel was expressed when he gave 1,000 Hamas, Palestinian, terrorist prisoners in exchange for one kidnapped IDF soldier in 2011. Israel Defense Force soldier Gilad Shalit had been captured five years earlier by Hamas militant terrorists. They came through one of their terrorist tunnels and kidnapped him. These brave soldiers of Israel are willing to give their all to defend Israel, and the Prime Minister is willing to give his all for them. Their lives are precious to him. This is displayed in the second video below. Apparently, Hamas does not put such a high value on their soldiers. One Israel Defense soldier was worth 1,000 of their soldiers. This reminds us of what Joshua told Israel about their power to take control of the Promised Land. He told them that one Jewish soldier would chase a thousand of the enemy. The reason this is possible is because God is standing for Israel and against its enemies.
Joshua 23:8-10 “But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day. 9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day. 10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.”
The Messiah, King Jesus, will stand with Israel in the future. If you want to be on the winning side, you better take a stand for Israel. Israel was justified in protecting its people by destroying the terror tunnels. Hamas, who are the enemies of God and man, are responsible for the injury and death of those who died in Gaza. They also murdered innocent people of Israel. Their disregard for life also caused great property damage. Remember! Israel did not dig the tunnels into Gaza to do them harm. Hamas dug those tunnels of terror to do harm to Israel. Zephaniah prophesies how the King of Israel will defeat their enemies in the future. Israel will be protected from all of the Hamas’ of the world, forever!
Zephaniah 3:14-15 “Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. 15 The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.”

Peering Into Darkness Beneath the Israel-Gaza Border!
By THE NEW YORK TIMES JULY 25, 2014
“Through a watermelon field, about a mile from Kibbutz Nir Am in Israel, and less than half a mile from the Gaza border, there is a hole in the ground that plunges more than 40 feet into a tunnel that an Israeli officer described as ‘big enough for a man in full body armor to go through standing up.’
This underground passage, discovered by the Israel Defense Forces two months ago, is similar to the 30 tunnels with more than 100 access points used by Palestinian militants to infiltrate Israel that have been discovered or destroyed since the military began its ground invasion of the Gaza Strip last week.
‘We prevented a major terror attack by finding this tunnel,’ said Max, 35, a lieutenant colonel in the I.D.F.’s chief engineer’s office who, under military protocol, did not provide his last name. ‘Hamas could have put through dozens, even hundreds of terrorists through this tunnel out on the Israeli side before we could have discovered it,’ he added, according to a pool report.”

Hamas’s Tunnels to Israel!
(An underground look at Hamas’s tunnels into Israel.)
“Israel has said that the focus of its offensive is to destroy the labyrinth of tunnels from the strip into Israel that can be used for storing weapons or launching attacks. On Friday, the I.D.F. took reporters into a 6-foot-by-2-foot tunnel that runs almost two miles under the border to a greenhouse in Khan Younis to show the threat that the tunnels pose, and the difficulty that Israel has in ferreting them out and destroying them. Hamas, the Islamic militant group that controls Gaza, has used its intricate system of tunnels to store weapons and preserve the element of surprise against the better-equipped, technologically superior Israeli military. Ismail Haniya, a former Hamas prime minister, said in a speech in March in Gaza City that the tunnels open ‘a new strategy in confronting the occupation and in the conflict with the enemy from underground and from above the ground.’
Some tunnels have been used by Palestinian militants to enter Israel, and there have been several deadly clashes between Israeli soldiers and militants emerging from tunnels on the Israeli side of the border.
Israeli officials have said that the goals of the Gaza invasion include finding and destroying tunnels that have been used by Palestinian militants to cross into Israel. The map shows areas where Israeli officials have said there has been tunnel activity.
1.The Israeli military said it had uncovered about two dozen tunnels with more than 60 access points, many of them in this Gaza City neighborhood where there has been some of the most intense fighting. 2. In early July, the Israeli Air Force struck a tunnel that led to this kibbutz, near where Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier, was captured in 2006. 3. Hamas gunmen emerged from a tunnel about a mile from this kibbutz last Thursday. Israeli officials cited this as the final straw before the ground invasion. 4. Eight Palestinian militants emerged from a tunnel near here on Saturday, armed with automatic weapons and wearing Israeli military uniforms. 5. A deadly battle ensued between Israeli troops and Hamas militants on Monday after the militants emerged from a tunnel about 500 yards from this community’s homes. 6. Some of the militants tried to make their way here. 7. Residents of this kibbutz were warned to stay inside.
It was an attack by 13 Hamas gunmen who emerged from one underground passage near a kibbutz in southern Israel on July 17 that prompted Israel to begin its ground assault after 10 days of aerial bombardment. Though that effort was thwarted, another surprise attack two days later killed two Israeli soldiers and one militant when Palestinian fighters slipped into Israel through another tunnel and attacked a border patrol before militants retreated underground into Gaza.
Tunnels from Gaza to Israel have had a powerful hold on the Israeli psyche since 2006, when Hamas militants used one to capture an Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit, who was held for five years before being released in a prisoner exchange.
The tunnels can be quite elaborate. The tunnel toured by journalists on Friday was reinforced with concrete and had a rack on the wall for electrical wiring. It also featured a metal track along the floor, used by carts that removed dirt during the tunnel’s construction, that could be used to ferry equipment and weapons, the Israeli military said.
Israeli officials acknowledge that it is a difficult technological and operational challenge to destroy all of the subterranean passageways and neutralize the threat they pose. The tunnels are well hidden, said the officer who conducted the tour on Friday, and some tunnels are booby-trapped.
‘We are confident we can destroy all or most of the tunnels,’ the officer said, ‘at least the ones we know about.’” (4)
