Catholic Priests And Nuns Forbidden To Marry

The Catholic Church teaches devil’s doctrines to innocent, receptive children and gullible, wicked, or spiritually blind adults. One of many devil’s doctrines that the Catholic Church teaches is the forbidding of marriage for certain leaders in their church. Priests, nuns etc. are forbidden to marry when they accept these positions of leadership in the Catholic Church. The picture in this post shows a nun in her habit (uniform) covered by a wedding gown. This nun is being married to Christ, as required by the false doctrine of the Catholic Church. There are also many other devil’s doctrines fed to deceived followers of the Catholic Church. Our compassion goes out to those who are trapped in this Catholic doctrinal snare of the Devil. It is our desire for these trapped people in the Catholic Church to hear the truth and be set free by the true salvation written about in the Bible.

Deceitful Catholic teachers use a corrupt book called Catholic Catechism and other ill conceived writings, such as Catholic Answers, to deceive their followers. Catholic Catechism and Catholic Answers are laced with spiritual, doctrinal poison that is falsely based on the Scriptures and unbiblical tradition. These false doctrines come off of the tongues of these Catholic leaders like smooth talking serpents. Just like the serpent, that was possessed by Satan, in the Garden of Eden told part of the truth to deceive Eve, the Catholic Church leaders are using their father’s Satanic methods.

There are those who get offended when a preacher attacks the doctrine of another church. But, we must be true to the Word of God and warn people of false doctrine. In the case of the Catholic Church, much of their doctrine has and will continue to mislead lost sinners to the flames of Hell.

The Catholic Church is guilty of destroying many people physically and spiritually since their evil conception. It appears that the Catholic Church will play a major role in the future as evil cohorts working with Satan during the prophesied seven-year Tribulation.

1 Timothy 4:1-6 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.”

The Catholic Church doctrine forbids their priests, nuns etc. to be married. This causes conflict even among many of the Catholics who want to serve in these positions.

The following quote is taken from the website of Catholic Answers.

“Why a Celibate Priesthood? Since Jesus is celibate, and since, as Paul says, celibacy for the sake of Christ is a higher state than marriage, and since a priest is an alter Christus (“other Christ”) when he is standing in the place of Christ to celebrate the Eucharist (i.e., the marriage supper of the Lamb), we should not be surprised that in antiquity the discipline grew up (spontaneously, from the grass roots) of more and more priests likewise choosing to be celibate.” (1)

As stated, Jesus was not married, and He never had any sexual relations with anyone. But, in the case of Jesus, we must remember that He is not an ordinary man. As God in the flesh, Jesus completely restrained most desires of the flesh. Of course, Jesus restrained all sinful desires of the flesh. This does not mean that all desires of the flesh are sinful. When your stomach sends the signal that you are hungry, it is not wrong to eat a proper meal. In fact, satisfying sexual desires within a proper marriage is a holy act, not sinful. But, we must not forget that God is not against children being conceived. If He was against children being conceived, Jesus would not have been born. God Himself, in the person of the Holy Spirit, took part in the conception of Jesus in the womb of Mary. Of course, the act of God with Marry was not accomplished by a sexual act, but instead, the conception of Jesus was accomplished by a miracle.

Notice that in the above quote it states that the priest, during communion, is standing in the place of Christ. This is contrary to the doctrine of the Bible. No one stands in the place of Jesus. Jesus is the only mediator. A Biblical bishop can lead a worship service, but he never takes the place of Jesus or stands in the place of Jesus.

1 Timothy 2:3-6 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

The Catholic Church teaches the false doctrine of Transubstantiation. This unbiblical doctrine states that every time a priest holds communion the bread actually turns into the body of Jesus and the wine turns into his blood. They incorrectly base this on the Scriptures where Jesus told His disciples that they must eat His flesh and drink His blood. This was not meant to be literally eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking His blood.

John 6:53 “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”

The Catholic Church takes John 6:53 out of context. Jesus is talking about believing on Him as Saviour. When we repent and believe on Jesus, He becomes a very part of us by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Just like the food that you eat becomes a part of you, you must receive Jesus by belief so that He becomes a part of your very spirit, giving you life. Jesus tells the disciples that it is not flesh that He is talking about. You can take communion three times a day and it will not give you living grace or eternal life. It may fill your stomach, satisfying the flesh. But, what is really needed is a spiritual change caused by the Word of God. The Holy Spirit brings life to the spiritually dead soul. Communion cannot do that. Jesus was telling His disciples that they needed to believe in the power of His crucified and resurrected body. He was not telling them that they needed to literally eat His body and drink His blood. If you were to put all of the Catholic communion bread and wine together, the falsely perceived body of Jesus would be bigger than a barn! The body and blood of Jesus provides life to the lost sinner. Eternal life is received by believing the gospel: that Jesus died, was buried and rose again. Now He is in Heaven. Jesus does not come back to every communion so that He can be consumed in communion.

John 6:60-64 “Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? 62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.”

In Catholic Answers, a writer said that Transubstantiation is not representing the death of Jesus, but instead it shows the resurrection of Jesus to give them grace to live by. But this is contrary to Scriptures because Jesus does not resurrect over and over again. Transubstantiation falsely shows Jesus dying and resurrecting over and over again. This is a false teaching of the Catholic Church. Jesus died once and shed His blood once. After that, He presented Himself before God the Father in Heaven at the Mercy Seat. This provides eternal life for those who believe on the finished work that was accomplished by the body and blood of Jesus. It is unbiblical to believe that people need to receive the body and blood of Jesus in every communion. Communion has no saving power, and it has no power to give grace to those who receive it. Communion is an important time to remember what Jesus did for us when His body was broken on the cross and His blood was shed, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Hebrews 9:12 “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

Also, notice in the above quote that the Eucharist (communion) is considered to be the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. This is an unbiblical statement. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb will take place after the marriage of the church to Jesus, (the Lamb) in Heaven. There is no Marriage Supper of the Lamb before the Rapture of the church, consisting of believers, that takes place. Any Marriage Supper of the Lamb held before the one in Heaven is based on false doctrine. How many times do you think Jesus, the Lamb, will get married? Once, is proper! More than once is improper. There will only be one Marriage Supper of the Lamb, following the marriage of Christ and the church, consisting of believers, Revelation 19:1-9!

Revelation 19:9 “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.”

A writer of Catholic Answers falsely claims that Paul said to be celibate for Jesus is a higher state than Marriage. Paul did not say or even imply that not to be married is more spiritual. Paul just simply stated that if he was not obligated to care for a wife he could focus his time and efforts more toward serving God. This did not make Paul superior to a husband and wife team who are devoted to serving God. Paul stated that in his particular situation, during the time when the church was being persecuted, marriage could cause hardships. Many times Paul had to flee for his life. This would have been more difficult if Paul had to flee with a wife.

1 Corinthians 7:25-28 “Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. 26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. 27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. 28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.”

Since Paul was able to restrain his sexual desires, he did not need to be married for the proper satisfaction of sexual desires or any other benefits of marriage. But, Paul said that if he or anyone else decided to get married it would not be sinful. Paul is stating very clearly that it is not sinful or wrong in any way for someone in all leadership roles to be properly married. Since marriage is not sinful for anyone, it is improper to forbid someone to get married because of the position they hold in the church.

Catholic Answers states that Jeremiah was forbidden by the Lord not to take a wife. This is true. But Jeremiah was not forbidden to marry because it allowed him to be in a higher state before God. It appears that Jeremiah was forbidden to be married as an illustration of how God felt about the rebellion of Israel that led God to divorce them spiritually. Also, the people of Israel had become so wicked that it appears there was not a suitable godly woman for Jeremiah to marry. For God to tell Jeremiah that he could not take a wife seems to imply that he may have wanted to marry and have children. God was no longer married after He divorced Israel. By not marrying, Jeremiah appeared to illustrate God’s divorce from Israel. But one day God will remarry Israel. This appears to take place near the end of the prophesied seven-year Tribulation, Matthew 22:8-10; Matthew 25:1-13.

Jeremiah 16:1-2 “The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying, 2Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.”

Jeremiah 16:10-13 “And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?  11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; 12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: 13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.”

Jeremiah 3:8 “And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I [God] had put her [Israel] away, and given her [Israel] a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.”

Just as Israel was unclean spiritually, leading to God divorcing Israel spiritually, Jeremiah was forbidden to marry because it appears that all of the women were unclean due to their physical and spiritual fornication, Deuteronomy 24:1-4

The following quote is from the website of Catholic Answers:

“A matter of legislation? Some will say that because celibacy is now a matter of legislation in the Church rather than grass-roots volunteerism, it is no longer a legitimate practice. But, of course, the Church has a perfect right to order its internal affairs as it pleases. [Regardless of what the Bible says] Nor is anybody compelled to be ordained. Rather, what the Church does—and has a perfect right to do—is tell the prospective priest that he is welcome to consider the priesthood but that if he does, consecrated virginity is part of the package.” (2)

If a church wants to be Biblical, they do not have any right to forbid marriage for its leadership since the Bible does not forbid it. When Catholic tradition opposes something that the Bible approves of, it means that the Catholic tradition is wrong. By forbidding marriage to certain of their leaders, the Catholic Church is opposing the Bible that permits proper, godly marriages of all leaders. A bishop should be married for many reasons, I Corinthians 7:1-5. Marriage should never be forbidden if it is a proper marriage. The very same Paul, who wrote 1 Corinthians 7 saying that for him it was better not to marry, wrote to Timothy and told him that it was proper for a bishop to have a wife. Therefore, forbidding certain leaders in the Catholic Church from marrying is a doctrine of the devils, as described in 1 Timothy 4:1.

1 Timothy 3:1-4 “This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;”

Paul was aware that sometimes a person’s desire to be married could change. He stated clearly that if the desire to marry changed then marriage was acceptable. In fact, Paul tells us it is better to marry than to burn in lust. This right to marry would include all leadership in the church, as noted in 1 Timothy 3:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:12 and Titus 1:6-7.

1 Corinthians 7:36 “But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.”

If an unmarried man has a friend who is a virgin and he falls in love with her, it is not a sin for him to marry her. In fact, it could lead to improper desires and thoughts if he does not marry her. It is improper for any church to forbid a proper marriage of laymen or any person in all church positions.

1 Corinthians 7:9 “But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.”

Since the Pope, priests, nuns etc are forbidden to be married, contrary to Scriptures, many of them are burning in lust toward one another. As a result, many of them are committing fornication. Unwed nuns are giving birth to babies. In order to cover up their acts of fornication, murder is being committed by many of the leaders in the Catholic Church.

David A. Plaisted, a former devout Catholic, said, “I wish to make a statement for those who may think that I am an ignorant protestant who knows nothing about the Catholic Church. I have received numerous e-mails by indignant Catholics who think I don’t know anything about what I am writing about and putting on this site.

First of all, I am old enough to be able to say that I attended Mass for years in LATIN! Not English as most today! I am quite familiar with all the Catholic doctrines, traditions and rituals, from the rosary, the stations of the cross, praying to Mary the Mediatrix, to not eating meat on Friday.

Moreover, I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, living about 6 blocks from a large Catholic Church that was once a Cloistered Convent. Most today don’t know about them. My step-father was an altar boy at the church, planning to go into the priesthood, until the government forced that Convent to open up. Then they found the bones of babies under the floor that came from the sex escapades of the priests (who represent Christ) and the nuns (who were ‘married to Christ’), which was supposed to mean that when the nun had sex with the priest, they were having sex with Christ and it was not sin. When a priest came wanting a young nun, the Mother Superior lined them up for the priest to pick out his victim of the day. They then went into a private room with a bed and he got what he didn’t get at home, since priests are not allowed to marry….

And they have only touched the tip of the ice burg of the sexual perversion within the priesthood (and these men are supposed to be ‘men of God’)? When a baby was born, the Mother Superior would suffocate the baby and bury it within the Convent. Now to the sex sin is added the sin of murder! All for the sexual pleasures and fulfillment of the lusts of the priests.

The nun referred to may have been Edith O’Gorman, who was still alive in 1947, or Eva Moss, who spoke to thousands in Washington, D.C. in March, 1928.  Sister Charlotte gave a similar testimony about abuses in convents.  She left her home in the USA for a convent overseas in 1910, and later escaped.  Afterwards, she accepted Christ and began giving her testimony, from which the following excerpt is taken:

‘I saw scores of babies born in the convents. Most were abnormal and deformed and seldom was one normal. With my hands I have delivered many, many of them, therefore I know. With my eyes I have seen the horror of it all and the world must be told of what goes on in those chambers of horrors.

Many have said I exaggerate and that these things are not so, but I have yet to be hauled into court to refute the charges. They would have to open the cloisters and this they dare not do. After being snared in this rotten system for twenty-two years, I know whereof I speak.

Normal young expectant mothers eagerly anticipate the arrival of their precious baby. Everything is ready, nursery, crib, clothing, and everyone is happy with her. By contrast, a little nun in the convent dreads the moment when she gives birth. The child is the product of a shameful, illicit union with a drunken priest which was forced on her. She knows from bitter experience that the baby will only be permitted to live four or five hours at the very most. It will never be cleaned or wrapped in a warm blanket for Mother Superior will put her hand over its mouth and pinch its nostrils to snuff out its life.’” (3)

So, it is apparent that celibacy and other doctrines taught in the Catholic Church are unbiblical. It is improper to require celibacy of the priests, nuns etc. Also, it is shameful that this requirement has led to lustful sin and murder. Considering that people still have sexual desires, it is very likely that in our present day improper sexual actions are still going on in the leadership of the Catholic Church. This is very likely followed by the murder of these innocent babies illegally or legally by abortion. This forbidding of marriage is absolutely a devil’s doctrine!

We encourage you to repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your only Saviour. God will help you to escape out of the trap of devil’s doctrines. Call on Jesus today and ask Him to save you.

Romans 10:9-13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
