Jews Returning To Israel Prophesied

Jews are immigrating to Israel as a result of murderous attacks and other anti-Semitic attacks on them. Also, it appears that God is just tugging at the hearts of many Jews to leave their country of birth and move to Israel. In 2015, there was a great increase in the number of Jews making the choice to move to Israel from their long time homes in other countries. Some Jews are moving to Israel by free choice, and others are fleeing hateful anti-Semitism. Bible prophecy tells us that in the last days Jews from all over the world will return to Israel. Prophecy tells us that in the last days God will provide the ransom to bring the Jews to Israel. We know from history that some Jews will be ransomed with money, and some Jews will even be ransomed in exchange for other people. Because Jews contribute so much to the wealth of their country of birth, many countries are refusing to let Jews move to Israel unless they pay a ransom. Jews are considered to be a national treasure by many nations.

The top picture in this article was taken at the Ben-Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, Israel. On December 22, 2014 Jewish immigrants moved to Israel from the Ukraine. Ukraine is located in the former Soviet Union. Jews are fleeing to Israel from Western Europe because of increased anti-Semitic attacks.

Because of the constant attacks in France, many Jews are making the choice to move to Israel. Some realized that Jewish men can be identified by the skullcaps, kippahs, they wear. A machete-welding, Muslim teen attacked a Jewish teacher in the French town of Marseille in January 2016. A local Jewish authority in the town of Marseille told Jews to stop wearing the caps to avoid attacks. Both Jewish and French authorities objected to Jews being forced to quit wearing their caps. They said this would be giving into the pressure of terrorists.

“At his annual address to foreign journalists, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the skullcap controversy.

‘Every Jew everywhere should be able to live safely and enjoy the protection of the authorities and I commend the government of France and other governments in Europe for taking the important stance on this issue,’ he said.

‘At the same time, every Jew should know that they have a home in Israel,’ Netanyahu added. ‘As far as wearing a kippa [kippah], it’s the same thing. They have a right, should have a right and enjoy the right to wear a kippa [kippah].’” ⁽¹⁾

When a Jewish man wears a kippah, skullcap, it represents that he is reverencing and honoring God, who is above him. No one should have to live in fear because they choose to serve God. These Jews in France have been bold, like Daniel in the Scriptures. Daniel refused to quit praying to God at his open window, even though he was threatened with death by being cast into a den of lions.

Daniel 6:7 “All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellers, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.”

Daniel 6:10 “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.”

In 2015, 9,880 European Jews immigrated to Israel. Because of so many anti-Semitic attacks in France, around 8,000 of these Jews immigrated to Israel from France. Close to 800 Jews migrated from Britain to Israel in 2015. Jews across the world are feeling unsafe because of the increase in anti-Semitic attacks. Many of these Jewish people are fleeing to Israel for safety.

‘“That a record number of European Jews feel that Europe is no longer their home should alarm European leaders and serve as a wake-up call for all who are concerned about the future of Europe,’ said Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky. ‘At the same time, the fact that Israel has become the number one destination for European Jews seeking to build a better future elsewhere is a tribute to the appeal of life in Israel and the values the Jewish state represents.”’ ⁽²⁾

Muslims have carried out many of these attacks on Jews across the world. A kosher grocery store run by Jews was attacked by a Muslim, ISIS group. As a result of this anti-Semitic attack, 17 people were slaughtered.

In France, Jewish schools and synagogues are often guarded by soldiers with automatic rifles. This is not an imaginary threat. Even though Jews make up only 1% of France’s population, French officials say that 50% of the racist attacks in 2014 were against Jews. Those who understand Scriptures realize that Satan is behind this threat against the Jewish people. Satan knows that God has a plan in the future for His chosen people, the Jews. Satan always tries to destroy God’s plans.

Bible prophecy tells us that in the last days Jews from all over the world will return to Israel:

Jeremiah 30:10-11 “Therefore fear thou [Israel] not, O my servant Jacob [Israel], saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee [Israel] from afar, and thy [Israel’s] seed [Jews] from the land of their [Jews] captivity; and Jacob [Israel] shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him [Israel] afraid. ¹¹ For I am with thee [Israel], saith the LORD, to save thee [Israel]: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee [Israel], yet will I not make a full end of thee [Israel]: but I will correct thee [Israel] in measure, and will not leave thee [Israel] altogether unpunished.”

In the past and in the present, Jewish people have lived all across the world in fear caused by anti-Semitism. Even in Israel, fear has been struck into the hearts of innocent Jewish people by terrorists. God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, Genesis 32:28. Israel’s, Jacob’s, sons were the beginning of the twelve tribes of Israel. Because God knew that a remnant of the Jews would serve Him, He promised to save them from the nations where they were dispersed and held in captivity. God promised that the Jews would return to Israel and find rest from terrorist attacks and wars in the future. They will not have to be afraid that some Muslim terrorists are going to harm their families, Jeremiah 30:10.

There have been times when it looked like all of the Jews would be wiped out, but God promised that He was with them. God promised to save them from total destruction. Those nations who attack the Jews will face the wrath of God. Because of rebellion, God scattered the Jews from the Promised Land, in the past. But, He promised to come to their rescue in the future. In the future, the Jews will not escape punishment for their rebellion. God has often corrected and punished Israel in the past. During the prophesied seven-year Tribulation, God will allow the Jews to go through trouble to prepare them for His reign, in the person of Jesus, on Earth. A Jewish remnant will be refined and ready to live and reign with Jesus in Israel. God allowed Israel to form as a nation again in 1948. It appears that God allowed Israel to become a nation again because He knew that many of them would turn to Jesus as their Saviour. Those Jews who do not repent of their sins and believe on Jesus will miss the blessing of living in the Promise Land of Israel during the reign of Jesus. But, those Jews who receive Jesus as their Saviour will enjoy the prosperity and peace when King Jesus rules, Jeremiah 30:11.

Prophecy tells us that in the last days God will provide the ransom to bring the Jews to Israel. We know from history that some Jews will be ransomed with money, and some Jews will even be ransomed in exchange for other people.

Jeremiah 31:10-11 “Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him [Israel], and keep him [Israel], as a shepherd doth his flock. ¹¹ For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob [Israel], and ransomed him [Israel] from the hand of him that was stronger than he [Israel].”

It is very important to read and study God’s Word, the Bible. It is also important to understand that if God promises something it will happen without a doubt. God said that He scattered Israel because of their rebellion, but He promised that He would gather the Jews back to Israel in the future. God promised to keep them protected from their enemies. Just like a shepherd protects his sheep, God promised to protect Israel. In fact, a good shepherd will give his life to protect his sheep. God gave His life in the person of Jesus Christ to save His sheep, the Jews, Isaiah 53; John 10:1-38; Jeremiah 31:10.

Because of the sins of Israel, Jews have been in bondage in the past. They have been scattered all across different nations of the world. Jews have often been treated by their countries of birth like second class citizens. God promised to redeem Jacob, Israel, from its bondage in other nations. Of course, Israel refers to the Jewish people, not Muslim Palestinians. God is willing to pay the price to redeem them from those countries who hold them hostage, Psalms 25; Deuteronomy 7.

God has also provided redemption for all Jews who are sold out to sin. Every individual is in the bondage of sin. There is nothing we can pay ourselves to escape the penalty of sin. But, God has provided Himself in the person of Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins. Because we all sin and break God’s laws, we are under a curse. Jesus went to the cross and shed His blood so that we could be redeemed from the curse of the law, Galatians 3; Titus 2.

Many strong nations have taken the Jews captive in the past. God promised to pay the price to ransom them so that they could return to Israel, the Promised Land, Jeremiah 31:11.

We have a Jewish friend who is a shoe repairman in the United States. He and his family came from Russia many years ago. We asked him if they had to pay a ransom to leave Russia. He was surprised that we were aware of the requirement to pay a ransom to allow Jews to leave Russia. We told him the Bible tells about God providing a ransom for the Jews held captive in other nations. He confirmed that they had to pay a ransom to leave Russia. Even though they paid the ransom money, God provided them with the ability to earn the money to pay the ransom.

“The history of Jewish ransom is a long one, stretching back to the time of Chazal who made special enactments to keep the practice from getting out of hand. During the first decades of its existence, the State of Israel continued the tradition, not balking at shelling out greenbacks to bring Jews to its shores. Rates depended on the market. During the late 40s and early 50s, Israel paid Hungary $1,000 per Jewish emigrant, while Bulgarian Jews were released for a bargain rate of $50 to $350. Between 1956 and 1961, Israel bribed Moroccan authorities to let Jews emigrate via Spain, and in 1971 Israel paid Saddam Hussein a million dollars for the release of 1,246 Jews. But the longest lasting and costliest deal of all was Israel’s ransom of Romania’s Jews that lasted from soon after the end of World War II until the execution of the Romanian dictator, Nicolae Ceausescu, in 1989.

Unable to produce real wealth, Russia and its satellites were always seeking opportunities to milk dollars from the west. During the 50s, under the Romanian dictator, Gheorghiu-Dej, the DGIE (Romanian secret service) began selling its Jews for ransom through the intermediary Henry Jacober, a compassionate Jewish Hungarian expatriate living in London who had extensive business connections with the Romanian authorities. Hundreds of Romanians, Jewish and non-Jewish, gladly paid ransoms at the rate of $4,000 to $6,000.” ⁽³⁾

Also, true to prophecy, people who are enemies of Israel were used as ransom to release Jews from captivity:

Isaiah 43:3-6 “For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy [Israel’s] ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee [Israel]. ⁴ Since thou [Israel] wast precious in my sight, thou [Israel] hast been honourable, and I have loved thee [Israel]: therefore will I give men for thee [Israel] , and people for thy [Israel’s] life. ⁵ Fear not: for I am with thee [Israel]: I will bring thy [Israel’s] seed [Jews] from the east, and gather thee [Israel] from the west; ⁶ I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons [Jews] from far, and my daughters [Jews] from the ends of the earth;”

God has put a great love in the heart of Prime Minister Netanyahu for the Jews of Israel and all Jews around the world. Gilad Shalit, an Israel Defense Force soldier, was taken captive by the Muslim terrorists group Hamas. Prime Minister Netanyahu made an agreement in 2011 to release 1,027 prisoners for the safe return of Gilad Shalit to Israel. Most of these prisoners released by Israel were Muslim Palestinians. The prophecy in Isaiah 43 was being fulfilled when people were given to ransom Jewish Gilad Shalit from captivity. This was not the first time or probably not the last time when the enemies of Israel would be used to ransom Jews from the captivity of other nation.

It appears that one Israel Defense Force soldier is worth at least one thousand enemy soldiers. Gilad Shalit was traded for over one thousand soldiers. The power of the Israel Defense Force soldiers is overwhelming against the enemies of the Jews because God is fighting to defend Israel. As promised, the Jews will return to Israel from all over the world under God’s protection.

Joshua 23:9-10 “For the LORD hath driven out from before you [Israel] great nations and strong: but as for you [Israel], no man hath been able to stand before you [Israel] unto this day. ¹⁰One man of you [Israel] shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your [Israel’s] God, he it is that fighteth for you [Israel], as he hath promised you [Israel].”

Many nations do not want the Jews to leave their nation because Jewish people are like a national treasure. Just about everything that Jews touch turns to gold. Also, Jews are always on the cutting edge of inventions that bring wealth to the nation where they live. Between 1901 and 2015, at least 194 Jews have been awarded Nobel Prizes worldwide. 22% of all Nobel Prize winners are Jewish. This is amazing considering that Jews only make up 0.2% of the world population. Jews are truly a source of wealth for any nation where they live. It appears that God has provided Jews with this wealth so that they can pay the ransom for fellow Jews. Jews are returning to Israel in ever increasing numbers. It appears that we are fast approaching the fulfillment of end time prophecy.

It is wonderful to see Jews return to Israel in these last days. But, more important we would like to see the Jews of the world discover the treasures of Heaven. All of the treasures of the world are not worth going to Hell for. Repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus as your Saviour. If you do this, you will receive treasures that will not waste away. Whether you are a Jew or Gentile it is time to be saved before it is too late!

Matthew 16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Matthew 6:19-20 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: ²⁰ But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”
