fires-in-tribulation-1

Forest fires will destroy one-third of the trees in the world in the first trumpet judgment from God. This is one of many judgments that will happen during the prophesied seven-year Tribulation!

This fall, of 2016, drought across the world has contributed to great forests being burnt down to the ground. Israel has also suffered the loss of many of their forests being burnt down because of the drought. But, it has been discovered by Israel that Arab arson terrorists are taking advantage of the drought by setting many of these forest fires.

Revelation 8:7 “The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

The second half of the prophesied seven-year Tribulation will be worse than the first half. God will use His holy angels to bring severe judgment on the Earth. Judgment will continue to fall on the Earth because of mankind’s continued rebellion against God. Many people falsely believe that God’s only attribute is love. But, God is also a God of wrath towards those who continue to oppose Him. If a person dies rejecting the love that Jesus offered them, that Christ-rejecter will be punished by God’s wrath in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of Jesus, the Lamb.

Revelation 14:10 “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb [Jesus]:”

Many people worship the creation instead of God the Creator. God has supplied trees for us to use. We are not to put our confidence in the things that trees can be used to build. Of course, we should not be wasteful with the trees and others things that God has provided for us.

During the prophesied seven-year Tribulation, hail and fire mingled with blood will be cast to the Earth. Forests all over the world will burn to the ground because of this trumpet judgment from God. One-third of the trees in the world will be burnt up. In 2006, it was estimated that trees covered 15 million square miles or approximately 30% of the Earth’s land mass. If that many trees are growing in the Tribulation, this means that approximately 5 million square miles of trees will be consumed by the fire in the first trumpet judgment. There are 640 acres in one square mile. Therefore, it is likely that approximately three billion, two hundred million (3,200,000,000) acres of forests will be burnt as a result of the trumpet judgment. Also, not one blade of grass will be left as a result of this trumpet judgment. Fire will consume all the grass of the world. The loss of life will be high as a result of these worldwide forest and grass fires. Mankind will not be able to put these fires out. But, God will be in complete control of every fire. He will put them out when a third of the trees and all the grass of the world is burnt up. God is the supreme firefighter. The smoke from these forest and grass fires will block the sunlight. The rebellious people on the Earth will be chocking to death on this deadly smoke. No doubt, the fires will jump from the forest and grass fires into many of the towns and cities. Everyone will be fleeing for their lives. The hail that is mingled with the fire and blood will also cause great damage to property and life. The blood that will be mingled with the fire and hail will be a reminder to the rebels that they trampled over the blood of Jesus which could have saved them from this terrible trumpet judgment, Revelation 12:9-11; Revelation 16:4-7.

In Georgia of the United States, there are many forest fires currently consuming giant forests. A fire in Fannin County Georgia spans 27,870 acres of forest. At the same time, a fire is blazing through 24,725 acres in forests of Rabun County. In the Tennessee, Gatlinburg area 15,000 acres of forest have been devoured by fires. Winds have spread the wild fires quickly. Wherever these fires are blazing, many homes and businesses are also being destroyed. The lives of many people have also been lost as a result of these consuming forest fires.

Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority reported that more than 4,900 acres of forests were destroyed by fires. These forest fires have blown into cities in Israel destroying homes leaving many people homeless. In Haifa, 527 apartments were destroyed by the fire. 1,600 people were left homeless. 75,000 residents had to be evacuated as a result of the fires in Haifa. Fires also are consuming many other places in Israel. It has been discovered that Arab arson terrorists have set many of these fires in Israel. At least 35 people have been arrested for starting these fires. More than 15 of the arsonist are citizen of the Palestinian Authority. At least ten of the arsonists are Arab citizens of Israel. This is exactly why the Jews of Israel are forced to take a stand against the Arab terrorists that are squatting on the land that God gave to the Jews.

These present day forest fires are only a small taste of what is coming in the future. Our hearts and prayers go out to the many people who have suffered loss as a result of these devouring fires. We especially pray that God will guard Israel against the arsonists setting fires.

These forest fires are a reminder that the forests of the Earth will be in flames in the future. To be burnt in a fire is a terrible torment. Those who do not repent and believe on Jesus as their Saviour will be tormented in the flames of the Lake of Fire forever.

Luke 16:23-24 “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”
Revelation 20:15 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
