Time Travel

Jewish scientists have contributed a vast amount of knowledge and inventions to mankind, including the possibility of time travel.

Albert Einstein was a very intelligent, Jewish professor who contributed his innovative thoughts about time travel. The Jews are a very generous people in their efforts to help mankind achieve their dreams. When you see a Jewish person, tell them how much you appreciate them.

Micah 5:7 “And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.”

The children of Jacob represent the twelve tribes of Israel. In the future, a saved remnant of Jewish people will continue to bless the people of the world. Just like showers of rain bring life and growth to grass, the Jewish remnant will bring life and growth to the people of the world during the thousand-year reign of Jesus on Earth. As the morning dew refreshes the Earth, the Jewish remnant will refresh those who love and honor them, Micah 5:7.

Time continues to tick by, but one day it will cease to exist. Every child has probably dreamed about time travel.

“Einstein’s theory says that if you want to slow time down – essentially, to time travel – you need to move fast, very fast! Imagine setting off on a mission from Earth in the year 2000, for example. You are scheduled to be away until 2032, but will be travelling at 95% the speed of light (around 285,000 km a second). The amazing thing is that, on your return, your watch would tell you that it is 2010, despite it being 2032 on Earth, and you’d be 22 years younger than anyone you left behind. That’s time dilation and it works at slower speeds, too, albeit to a much less profound degree.” (1)

Of course, Einstein’s theory of time travel has never been tried since mankind has never been able to travel at the speed of 285,000 km in a second. In fact, the fastest that we have traveled is about 10 km in a second by spaceship while escaping Earth’s atmosphere. The fastest land vehicle can only travel at about 1 km in a second. Unless our physical body is protected from the pressure of the extremely high speed of 285,000 km, it would most likely crush our fragile bodies.

Even though it appears that no man has ever time traveled, it is very possible that time travel is possible. God, who is the creator of time, is not bound by the restraints of time, as we are. God is from the everlasting past. God has no beginning or end. Time travel is certainly a strong possibility for God.

Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

If anyone was capable of time travel, it would be God. If God sees the need to time travel, He could certainly do so. There are several things to suggest that God does time travel, Matthew 19:26.

God the Father, Jesus (who is called the Word, John 1:1-14), and the Holy Spirit have always existed. God will continue to exist forever after time no longer exists. God created time for the benefit of His creation, including man.

Micah 5:2 “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

This verse in Micah is prophecy about Jesus, who was born in Bethlehem. He came from the tribe of Judah. God the Father said that Jesus would be the ruler in Israel in the future. We know from the Scriptures that Jesus will rule the world from Israel for a thousand years after the prophesied seven-year Tribulation. Jesus existed from everlasting. In other words, He existed before time was put into motion by the created sun and other things that gage time for us, Micah 5:2.

We know that God is in total control of everything, including time. In the past, God made a day last longer. In the future, it appears that God will shorten some days and nights during the prophesied seven-year Tribulation.

Joshua 10:12-14 “Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. 14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.”

In the past, Israel was in a battle with the Amorites. They needed more daylight to fight the battle. Joshua asked God to cause the day to be extended, and God did as Joshua requested. God created the sun and the moon which have a part in day and night. Therefore, He can control them so that time is changed, Joshua 10:12-14.

Revelation 8:12 “And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.”

During the prophesied seven-year Tribulation, God will cause some of the days and nights to be shortened. A third of the day and a third of the night will be cut off of the normal day and night. Therefore, it appears that instead of 24-hour days during this time, there will be 16-hour days. Since God has control of the length of time, He certainly would have the ability to time travel as He sees fit, Revelation 8:12.

God reveals the exact detail of the events of the future. We know that God is all knowing. It is very possible that God knows all of the exact details of the future because He has been there. Since we have a free will, we could change our actions in the future. But, yet, God knows every change in actions that we will make. For example: God knew that Abraham would faithfully serve Him in the future. This makes it appear that God goes to the future and sees the actions that we choose with our free will.

Genesis 18:16-19 “And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. 17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

God knew that a great nation would come from Abraham’s seed even before it happened. God also knew that all the nations of the Earth would be blessed as a result of him and his seed. The 12 tribes of Israel sprang from Abraham. Could it be that God took a trip into the future, by time travel, and witnessed all of these events resulting from Abraham’s obedience to God, Genesis 18:16-18?

God knew that He could keep his promise with Abraham because God knew that Abraham would teach his children to serve God.

Likewise, God will one day bring a Jewish remnant into Israel. God knows that there will be a Jewish remnant who accepts His salvation. Therefore, God can keep His promise of giving the Promised Land of Israel to them. Only the saved, Jewish remnant will be able to enjoy the Promised Land of Israel in the future. Those Jews who died rejecting Jesus as Saviour will not get to enjoy the Promised Land in the future, Jeremiah 31:27-40; Genesis 18:19.

Acts 17:26-28 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

God was able to see all of the events down through time even before He created everything that now exists. God even knew what the land boundaries would be for each nation. Time travel certainly would make this possible. Of course, God may know all things by some method beyond the scope of our understanding, Acts 17:26.

God is not limited by time zones. In the person of the Holy Spirit, God is in every born-again believer no matter what time zone they live in. God exists across time and space so that He can reach mankind with His precious salvation for them, Acts 17:27.

All things are under God’s control. But, God does allow mankind to have a free will within certain boundaries that He sets. God even knows what choices we will make with our free will. This foreknowledge of God could be accomplished by time travel, Acts 17:28.

God was able to show John, the human writer of the book of Revelation, and other prophets the exact details of the future. Every prophecy without failure, in the past, has come 100% true. For example: there are thousands of prophecies of the first coming of Jesus to the Earth to be crucified for our sins. Every single one of them came true. Since all of these are true, we can be certain that all future prophecy written in the Bible will come true.

Revelation 1:10-11,19 “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,  11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;”

It appears that John, the writer of Revelation, did not time travel to the future. God gave John a detailed vision of the future. In the vision that John had, everything was so real that John reacted just as if he was there, Revelation 1:10.

Jesus is the first and last. He exists, as God, outside of time. He is not constrained by time, as normal men are. Jesus chose to be affected by time so that He could bring salvation to sinful mankind, Revelation 1:11.

Jesus was able to give John a detailed view of the past, present, and future. How does Jesus know the future in such detail? It may be that Jesus has used time travel to see the detail of the future, Revelation 1:19.

It appears that angels do not have the power to time travel. If they could, the Devil and the other fallen angels would travel back in time and try to prevent Jesus from dying on the cross for our sins.

1 Corinthians 2:8 “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

If the fallen angels could time travel, surely they would travel back in time and prevent as much good as they could. But, it appears that they can only be in the present. Each day they try to destroy God’s perfect plan for each person. They can not time travel to destroy God’s salvation plan. Therefore, they work hard each day with the evil purpose of preventing people from accepting God’s salvation plan, 1 Corinthians 2:8.

It appears that even God will not time travel in the future.

Revelation 10:6 “And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:”

Time will come to an end in the future. There will be no more time. Time is just a starting period and a stopping period marked by the sun and other instruments. One day there will not be a sun any longer to mark time, Revelation 22:5. God created time so that He could accomplish certain things with His creation. Since God is going to cause time to no longer exist, it seems apparent that God will not time travel in the future. We will live in eternity instead of time. Being in eternity outside of time allows God to accomplish all of His goals. With a glorified body, like Jesus, we will also accomplish the work of God without the restraints of time. Time will cease to exist after the thousand-year reign of Jesus on Earth, Revelation 21; Revelation 10:6.

Even before time began, God made a plan to save sinful man from the penalty of sin in Hell. Because God knows every detail of the future, He was able to make plans for man’s salvation even before man was created.

Revelation 13:8 “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Many people will choose to worship the Dragon, (Satan) and the Beast (Anti-Christ) during the prophesied seven-year Tribulation. Their names are not written in the Book of Life because God knew that they would never accept Jesus as their Saviour. Many people are deceived into accepting a false religion, even in our present time. When God formed the foundation of the world, the sun did not exist yet. The sun is what we use to determine time. In fact, when the foundation of the world was being formed, man did not exist yet. But, God knew that mankind would fall into sin and need a Saviour. God knew that Adam and Eve would make the wrong choice and choose to sin. Because of God’s foreknowledge, God had a perfect plan to save man from the penalty of sin. Jesus (the Lamb) had to shed His blood on the cross to satisfy the payment for man’s sins. It may be that God was able to make the plan for Jesus to die for the sins of mankind even before time began because He used time travel to go into the future. Every detail of man’s fall into sin and God’s plan of salvation were fulfilled to the exact detail. God knows each person who will accept His plan of salvation. We all have a free will to choose salvation through Jesus. God does not want anyone to be lost and go to Hell. But, each person must make the choice to repent and believe on Jesus for salvation to benefit them, Revelation 13:8.

Many people think that they can wait until they get into eternity to choose their eternal home. But, after we leave this life, it is too late to repent and believe on Jesus as your Saviour. We must accept God’s plan of salvation this side of the grave.

Proverbs 27:1 “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”

Hebrews 2:3 “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;”

Repent and believe on Jesus as your Saviour today before time runs out for you. Acknowledge to God that you are a sinner who needs His salvation. Ask Him to save you before it is too late!
