Anti-Semitic Graffiti In Spring Valley, N.Y.

Anti-Semitic Graffiti! Anti-Semitic graffiti is an insult against and an attack on Jewish people! Hateful graffiti was painted on the sidewalk in Spring Valley, New York. This graffiti was especially hurtful because a German, Nazi swastika and the words “Hail Hitler” was painted inside a Jewish Star of David.

“Antisemitism (also spelled Anti-Semitism or anti-semitism) is prejudice against, hatred of, or discrimination against Jews as a national, ethnic, religious or racial group. A person who holds such positions is called an “antisemite”. As Jews are an ethnoreligious group, antisemitism is generally considered a form of racism.” (1)

Why is the Nazi swastika so offensive to descent, God-fearing people? The cross-like swastika was used during the bloody reign of Hitler. It was used on the Nazi flag and on Nazi arm bands, etc. It, falsely, symbolized the superiority of white people over others. It is now recognized as a hate symbol against the Jews. Hitler considered those of other skin colors to be nonhuman, like animals. The beast-like Hitler experimented on, tortured, and murdered Jews. By his merciless command, around six-million Jews were slaughtered.

This hateful graffiti, with a swastika painted inside of a Jewish Star of David, was meant to do harm to the Jews in the area.  Many Orthodox Jews live in Spring Valley. In fact, some of them are Holocaust survivors. The vile words “Hail Hitler” is meant to honor the devilish villain Adolf Hitler who murdered innocent Jews. This Anti-Semitic graffiti is a tormenting reminder to the Jews of the world of their great loss brought by the evil commands of Hitler.

Anti-Semitism, by teens or anyone else, can not be tolerated. If teens performed this vile act of anti-Semitic graffiti, most likely, they learned it from their parents. Some may believe that this is just a crime of ignorance. But, I am convinced that it is a spiritual problem that flows from the hearts of sinful men. It is time to put a stop to anti-Semitism before it leads to more harm to Jews. Satan is using anti-Semitism in hopes of destroying God’s plan. God has chosen to use the Jews to bring salvation to the world. This makes them special, as a people. In fact, the mother of Jesus Christ was Jewish.

Hitler tried to convince the world that some people were superior. He believed in evolution. Hitler tried to annihilate the Jews because he believed that they had not evolved beyond being animals. But, the truth is, God made animals and He made men. The Scriptures state very plainly that all men are “one blood”. God chose to use the Jews for a special purpose because, as a people, they have been more obedient to God than Gentile nations. But, all races are equally human. Just because someone looks different, it does not make them any less human. We should have a love for each other. It is time to stop anti-Semitism in all forms. Let the Jews know that you love and appreciate them!

Acts 17:26 “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;”

SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) – Authorities are investigating after anti-Semitic graffiti was found spray-painted on a sidewalk in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Rockland County.

A swastika and the words ‘Hail Hitler’ were found scrawled inside a Star of David on Sunday along Morris Road in Spring Valley.

Many Holocaust survivors live in the area and Rabbi Yisroel Kahan said this opens old wounds.

‘This is something that’s hateful and it’s a shame and it will not be tolerated,’ Kahan said. ‘It’s a combination of ignorance, hate, spitefulness.’

The rabbi suspects ignorant teenagers are responsible because the vandals wrote ‘Hail Hitler’ instead of the German spelling of the Nazi salute, ‘Heil Hitler.’

‘We’re assuming it was teenagers cause the spelling was incorrect, but the message of hate is still there,’ Kahan said. ‘We need to educate our children and our kids to understand to be tolerant of all races and all religions…senseless graffiti like that can hurt so much and it boils down to a lack of education.’

Some residents also reported seeing two teenagers on skateboards over the weekend near the graffiti, WCBS 880’s Sean Adams reported.

It’s not the first time recently that Nazi symbols have been found in Rockland County.

At the end of July, racist and anti-Semitic graffiti were spray-painted on a private property in Pearl River. A week later, Van Houten Farms in Pearl River was defaced with anti-Semitic and vulgar graffiti. Police continue to investigate those incidents.” (2)
