Praying For The Messiah To Come

God is the only one who can bring a lasting solution to the conflict in Israel and in the spiritual conflict raging in the souls of men. Those at the “Christ at the Checkpoint” conferences constantly talked about reconciliation between the Israeli people and the Palestinians. They talked very much about social programs and political issues. But, evangelizing both Jews and Palestinians seemed to take the back burner in the speeches of the Palestinian “Christians”. They did not say anything about going door-to-door soul winning, like Paul the apostle and other disciples did. Men cannot permanently reconcile two groups who oppose each other so strongly. It has already been established in different articles that permanent peace will not come to the land of Israel until the Messiah comes back. Only God can accomplish lasting reconciliation where it is required. When a person moves onto your property uninvited, the only way for things to correctly be reconciled is for the intruder to move off your land. Individual Palestinians, who want peace, need to move off the Promised Land of Israel.

Most importantly, each person needs to make sure that they have reconciled with God. All people are by nature enemies of God. Reconciliation with God must start in the heart of each individual. It is up to those who are true Christians to help rescue conflicted souls from going to the fiery pit of Hell! Many churches have become social institutions, and they have forgotten or neglected their true ministry of reconciling lost souls to God through Jesus Christ! Reconciling with God brings peace to those who are at war with God! Every true believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation, as declared in the Scriptures. This is not talking about a ministry to reconcile people who are in conflict with each other. But, it is talking about reconciling people who are in conflict with God. When a person reconciles with God, it will help them to reconcile with people.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Some of the things that have been said in some articles may have seemed hateful or offensive to you. But, be assured that we love you no matter who you are or what you have done! Neither is it our desire to purposely offend you. As a believer in Christ, we are obligated to tell you the truth even if you do not like it. What kind of a friend would we be to you if we told you a lie just to make you feel good? We would be your enemy! God’s Word is Truth! Only God can bring a final solution to the conflict in Israel. Also, only God can solve the conflict that every person has in their soul. You can not bring a final solution to the conflict in Israel, but you can accept God’s final solution for the conflict in your soul. God has provided a way for each individual to be reconciled to Him. If you have not been reconciled to God, take the following steps in sincerity, and be reconciled to God before it is too late for you!

A Sinner's Prayer

There are basically four things you need to know and believe from the Bible to have assurance that you are going to Heaven when you die:

1) EVERYONE IS A SINNER.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” The reason we “come short” of God’s glory (God’s righteous or perfect nature) is because “all have sinned.” “All” includes us, and it includes you. Being a good person can not get you to Heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9   “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Doing good things or quitting bad things can not get you to Heaven. Romans 3:10, 12. First, you must agree with the Bible and admit that you are a sinner.

2) EVERYONE OWES A SIN-DEBT.

Romans 6:23a “For the wages [Penalty or Debt] of sin is death;” This is speaking of eternal spiritual death, which is also called “the second death.” Revelation 20:14 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Because of our sin, we are headed to a terrible place called Hell to be punished forever. You must realize that if you die in your sin, you must pay the penalty for sin by being in Hell forever.

3) EVERYONE’S SIN-DEBT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Although sin brings eternal death, God wants to give us eternal life. Notice that eternal life is not earned through going to church, being baptized, or being a good person, but it is a gift “through Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” You must believe that Jesus has paid the wages of sin by dying for you on the cross. It is a free gift from God for you to go to Heaven. You can not work your way to Heaven. Jesus did all of the work on the cross so that you can go to Heaven. The only way to go to Heaven is through Jesus.

4) EVERYONE CAN BE SAVED.

Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” You must ask God to take you to Heaven when you die. When you pray and ask God to take you to Heaven, you must be sorry for your sins because you know that they displease Him, and you must want Him to change your life. By the power of God, you will turn from your sins. This is called repentance. Also, you must trust in Jesus and believe that He paid for all of your sins on the cross. You must also know that you can not do any good things to earn your own way to Heaven.

If you would like to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, simply bow your head right now and humbly:

1) Admit to God that you are a sinner, and that you cannot save yourself by being good or by quitting sin.

2) Tell Him you believe Jesus died to pay for all your sins when He died on the cross.

3) Be sorry for your sins and repent, and ask Him to forgive you and save your soul from Hell.

4) Believe that He promised to save you and take you to Heaven when you die.

*If you have trusted Jesus as your Saviour, let us know so we can rejoice with you! Once you have trusted Him as your Saviour, you have this promise from God’s Word:

“… for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5b
