The Arab Palestinians and other people, including churches, across the world are putting pressure on Israel by using evil boycotts against them. They are trying to pressure Israel into accepting an ungodly two-state solution! Pictures like the one in this post are brainwashing many gullible people into boycotting Israel and their products. According to God’s Word, the Bible, the Arab Palestinians are the illegal occupiers on the Promised Land that God gave the Jews! Boycotting Israeli products and international companies because they support Israel is a sin against God and Israel!
The Palestinians increased boycotts against Israel last year when they could not reach a satisfactory peace agreement with Israel. Their wicked boycotts include Israel products and Israel’s participation in world activities. In May of 2015, the Palestinians failed in their attempt to get Israel suspended from the FIFA, world soccer.
Of course, this unjust peace agreement that the Palestinians want includes a big piece of the Promised Land. They have no right to claim land that God has already promised to the Jews of Israel. Most people would not appreciate someone demanding part of the land that they own by warranty deed. God gave Israel a warranty deed in the Scriptures for the Promised Land. In fact, Israel presently possesses only a small part of the land that God promised them. The Messiah, Jesus, will force all of the intruding Arabs off of the Promised Land in the future. Jesus will not accept a two-state solution! It is not the Jewish people’s fault that Arabs moved onto land that does not belong to them.
The Palestinians and others have tried to enforce boycotts against Israel by claiming that Israel is evil. But, in fact, these groups are evil because they are going against the God of the Scriptures.
Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu said: “Now, this is a phenomenon that we have known in the history of our people. What hasn’t been said about the Jewish people? They said that we are the focus of all evil in the world. All of these things are being said about us today as well. It was not true then and it is not true today. This does not have a shred of truth”. (1)
Netanyahu also said: “We are in the midst of a great struggle being waged against the state of Israel, an international campaign to blacken its name. It is not connected to our actions; it is connected to our very existence. It does not matter what we do; it matters what we symbolize and what we are”. (2)
We want to warn the people of the world what happened when Hitler enforced boycotts against Israel. Boycotts led to financial loss for many businesses owned by Jewish people. But, most of all, boycotts were followed by other actions against the Jews that led to the murder of around six million innocent Jews. We must oppose those who are acting like Hitler against Israel. We need to pray for the peace and protection of the Jews of Israel and the Jews of the world.
“Just a week after the Enabling Act made Hitler dictator of Germany, a national boycott of Jewish shops and department stores was organized by Nazis under the direction of Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.” (3)
“The boycott of Jewish stores in April 1933 marked the beginning of a downward spiral for Jews that would eventually end in the gas chambers at Auschwitz. The boycott was followed by a series of laws and decrees which robbed the Jews of one right after another. There would be, in the twelve years of Hitler’s Reich, over 400 laws and decrees targeting Jews alone.” (4)
A leader of a major French mobile phone company, Orange, recently suggested that he would like to break ties with Israel. After the French government and Israeli officials put pressure on him, the Orange CEO backtracked and said that he was misunderstood. He said that Orange would stand behind their communications agreement with Israel.
Many churches are using divestment to put pressure on companies that operate in Israel and companies that support Israel. Divestment means to sell off stock investments that a buyer already has in a company. Many of these churches have invested large sums of money in companies that have ties with Israel. They are pressuring Israel and companies that support Israel by threatening to withdraw their investments. These churches are also encouraging their members to practice boycotts against these companies that have ties with Israel. Any church that is following the Scriptures will be against boycotts of Israel and their products.
These rebellious churches are following in the wicked footsteps of Martin Luther, the father of the Lutheran Church. At first, Luther tried to win the Jews to Jesus. But, after they rejected his message, his love for them turned into hateful, Anti-Semitic attacks! Hitler was inspired by the writings of Luther to carry out many evil deeds against the Jews of the world. Any modern-day church or church member who chooses to stand against the Jews will give an account in the judgment. God is very much against Anti-Semitism, including divestment/boycotts of Jewish products and companies who support Israel.
“In July 2004, the 2.4-million-member Presbyterian Church (USA), voted 431 to 62 in July to ‘initiate a process of phased selective divestment in multinational corporations operating in Israel.’ The Church manages a set of investment funds totaling approximately $7 billion USD.
According to the Church’s highest elected official, Rev. Clifton Kirkpatrick, there is no plan for a ‘blanket divestment’ from Israeli companies, but instead the Church will ‘target businesses that it believes bear particular responsibility for the suffering of Palestinians and will give them a chance to change their behavior before selling their shares.’ Church officials, according to the Washington Post, mentioned Caterpillar Inc. as a possible target of the selective divestment campaign because the company ‘manufactures bulldozers used by Israel to demolish Palestinian homes that are built without permits or belong to families of suicide bombers.’” (5)
“In February 2005, the Geneva-based World Council of Churches followed suit. The resolution passed by WCC’s 150-member Central Committee commended the selective divestment resolution passed by the Presbyterian Church (USA) saying that the previous resolution ‘in both method and manner, uses criteria rooted in faith and calls members to do the things that make for peace.’ The WCC planned to focus ‘on companies that assist the Israeli government in demolishing Palestinian homes, constructing settlements, and erecting a controversial ‘dividing wall’ within the Palestinian territories.’” (6)
“The United Church of Christ also followed suit, endorsing a range of economic leverages that included divestment, but church leaders did not commit their pension or foundation assets to a divestment plan.” (7)
“In June 2005, the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church had voted to urge the divesting of funds from companies that support the Israeli occupation of Palestinian Territories.” (8)
“In July 2012, the Episcopal Church adopted a resolution at its General Convention Assembly that supported ‘a negotiated two-state solution’ and ‘positive investment’ rather than divestment from Israel.” (9)
If possible, true Christians need to practice boycotts against those who oppose Israel. We need to back the companies that support Israel. Do research to see which companies are currently supporting Israel and buy their products. Let them know that you buy their products because they support Israel. Companies listed in ads and on websites where they are claimed to support Israel do not necessarily support Israel. Many companies change their loyalties when pressure is put on them. Also, we need to buy products made in Israel whenever possible. We need to contact any group or government that is practicing boycotts against Israel and let them know that we support Israel. We must stand firmly against a two-state solution because God is against it. A two-state solution would bring great harm to the Jews of Israel.
Isaiah 17:7 “At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.”
There is coming a day when men all over the world will have a respect for God, their Maker. Instead of trying to spoil Israel with their boycotts and other evil doings, they will stand behind Israel. Israel will be respected by the nations of the world during the thousand year reign of Jesus from Israel.
Isaiah 17:12-14 “Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! 13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters [All the nations of the world will rush against Israel during the Battle of Armageddon]: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. 14 And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not [God will kill the enemies of the Jews]. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.”
Zechariah 14:3-5 “Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.”
Many groups are trying to spoil Israel by boycotts and by other evil ways in our present times. In fact, boycotts against Israel have greatly increased recently. During the Battle of Armageddon, all of the nations of the world will rush against Israel to take their products and property, but King Jesus will come to the rescue of the Jews in Israel. The soldiers of the nations will flee from the Holy One of Israel, God, Jesus the Messiah. Sudden death will come to those who attack Israel. There are many people who are trying to rob Israel in our present day by using divestments and boycotts to force Israel into a faulty two-state solution. Those who try to rob Israel will face the wrath of God!
