Euphrates River Drying Up Prophesied In Scriptures!<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Is the Euphrates River drying up a fulfillment of Bible prophecy? Over the past several years, the Euphrates River and the Tigris River appear to be drying up. Could the drying up rivers be a warning of things prophesied to come? We will examine the evidence of the Euphrates River drying up in the light of Scripture prophecy!<\/p>\n

The Euphrates River flows from Turkey to Syria and then through Iraq. High demand for the precious water has led to Turkey building five dams and Syria building two dams. They are storing a vast amount of water in large reservoirs. The water is being used for drinking and for farm irrigation.<\/p>\n

The regulation of the Euphrates River has caused the level of the river to drop by three-quarters in less than ten years. Agricultural land is being destroyed by the advancing desert due to the lack of irrigation. This is especially happening in Iraq. Choking dust storms have forced the airport to close in Baghdad, Iraq.<\/p>\n

It also appears that God is holding back the rain in the area of the Euphrates River. The lack of rain has greatly contributed to the falling level of the water in the Euphrates River.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture says that between 40 and 50 per cent of what was agricultural land in the 1970s is now being hit by desertification.\u201d (1)<\/sup><\/p>\n

The Zab River flows into the Tigris River. The Zab River is also drying up. In 2009, the Zab River filled up less than one quarter of its river bed. The Euphrates, Tigris and the Zab rivers connect to each other. Due to the regulations of the water in the Euphrates and the lack of rainfall, many people are concerned that the Euphrates, and other rivers, will dry up completely.<\/p>\n

\"Desert<\/a>

Desert Horned Vipers Attack Animals And People!<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

It appears like the Euphrates River and its wildlife are turning against the people. Desert Horned Vipers are fleeing the drying up river. These deadly vipers have slithered in like a plague among the people living near the Euphrates River.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoctors in the area say six people have been killed and 13 poisoned. \u2018People are terrified and are leaving their homes,\u2019 says Jabar Mustafa, a medical administrator, who works in a hospital in the southern province of Dhi Qar. \u2018We knew these snakes before, but now they are coming in huge numbers. They are attacking buffalo and cattle as well as people.\u2019” (2)<\/sup><\/p>\n

In May of 2014, Turkey completely shut off the flow of the Euphrates River to Syria. They did this in an effort to support the rebels in the Syrian civil war. The Syrian civil war started in 2011. When Turkey shut off the flow of the Euphrates River, this just about dried up the Euphrates River in Syria and beyond.<\/p>\n

It appears that Turkey hopes to turn the people of Syria against Syrian President Bashar Assad. Also, ISIS, who has taken over much of Syria, is considered to be a threat by the government of Turkey. It appears that both the present government of Syria and ISIS are terrorists in their actions against the innocent. Women are raped, people beheaded, and robbery is rampant throughout Syria by these thugs. The government of Turkey appears to believe that these two enemies can be stopped by thirst. But, sad to say, many innocent people will suffer from lack of water.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe crisis revolves around the Euphrates River, which quickly became the Euphrates Creek when Turkey completely cut off the water flow upstream of Syria, reported\u00a0Al Akhbar\u00a0on May 30.\u201d (3)<\/sup><\/p>\n

\u201cWater levels in Lake Assad, Syria\u2019s largest body of water, have dropped by 20 feet since Turkey shut off the water supply.\u201d\u00a0(4)<\/sup><\/p>\n

The Euphrates River is being used as a weapon against the enemies of Turkey. Syria\u2019s civil war has led to many nations in the Middle East taking sides. Iran is supporting Turkey\u2019s enemy, President Bashar Assad of Syria. Turkey could very well try to dry up the Euphrates River with plans to send soldiers across it to attack their enemies. These countries in the Middle East could very well be setting the scene for a major war. But, right now the war actions at the Euphrates River mostly involve Muslim dominated countries.<\/p>\n

Fulfillment of prophecy does not depend on men to make sure that it happens. God gave the prophecy about the Euphrates River drying up. God can dry up the river instantly, if He chooses. God is able to perform miracles. Since God knows the future, to the smallest detail, the prophecy of the Scriptures will be fulfilled exactly. If it is not fulfilled exactly, God would be a liar. But, we know that God is Truth.<\/p>\n

2 Peter 1:21<\/strong> \u201cFor the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.\u201d<\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n
