Russia is continuing to produce super weapons of mass destruction. In the future, it is certain that Russia will attack other countries, including Israel. Russia is sometimes symbolically compared to a bear. The bear moves a little slower than some other beasts, but when it moves, it has great strength. Many people underestimate the power of Russia because they appear to be moving slow. But, when Russia decides to move against its enemies, it will have a well trained army using advance weapons enhanced by technology. Most nations do not have super weapons like Russia.

For example: Russia has developed the T-14 super battle tank. This advanced tank concerns many of the western nations. The 2A82-1M cannon, on the T-14 tank, can deliver more destructive power than the war tanks that the enemies of Russia have. The cannon on the T-14 tank can fire between 10 and 12 rounds per minute.

NATO is concerned that the Russian T-14 tanks will penetrate the armor of their inferior tanks destroying their most advanced war tanks. NATO is a group of 28 nations who work together to protect each other. If necessary, they will use their weapons of war to protect member nations. The United States is a member of NATO. This means that the United States probably does not have a tank that can stand up against the T-14 tank of Russia. Russia has many other advance weapons including nuclear power. Of course, the United States also has other weapons including nuclear power.

It is hard to say who would win if the United States goes to war with Russia in the future. According to the Bible, we are certain that both Russia and Israel will continue to exist in the end times. We are not so sure about the existence of the Untied States in end times.

When Russia attacks Israel, as prophesied in Ezekiel 38; 39, it appears that the war will be fought with primitive weapons like swords. Instead of tanks, it appears that the soldiers of Russia will be riding horses. It is very possible that advanced weapons that use technology will be useless. An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) can damage weapons of technology so that they will not function. The sun or a nuclear explosion can cause an EMP destroying weapons enhanced by technology.

God certainly knew about the advanced technology weapons that mankind would invent. But, God inspired the Scriptures that tell how swords will be used in end time wars. Birds will be brought to eat the flesh of fallen, dead horses and dead men on the bloody field in the Battle of Armageddon. We know there will really be dead horses because birds do not eat metal, army tanks. In other words, the horses are not symbolic of army tanks. Likewise, when King Jesus comes back with His armies to defend Israel, we will be riding horses, not tanks, helicopters, or airplanes.

Revelation 19:17-19 “And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast [Anti-Christ], and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him [Jesus] that sat on the horse, and against his [Jesus’] army.”
