Nation Of Israel Reborn As Prophesied!

The rebirth of Israel as a nation was foretold by the prophet Isaiah. Of course, God who knows everything gave Isaiah these inspired words about the rebirth of the nation of Israel.

Before Israel originally became a nation, God gave Abraham the promise of Israel being born as a nation the first time. Jacob, Abraham’s grandson, was the father of the men who God used to found Israel. This was when God first used the twelve tribes of Israel to establish the nation of Israel. Remember, Jacob’s name was changed to Israel by God. God is the founder of the nation of Israel.

Throughout history, Israel had many wars and losses because of their rebellion against God. But, in 70AD, Israel fell in total defeat before the Roman leader, Titus. The second Temple was burned to the ground and Jerusalem was demolished by the conquering, brutish Romans. This destruction of Israel happened about two thousand years ago. About 2,700 years ago, the prophet Isaiah prophesied that the nation of Israel would be reborn.

There are those who falsely teach that the church, who consists of both Jews and Gentiles, has replaced Israel. They claim that the Jews of Israel are no longer entitled to the promises made by God to Abraham and his descendants. The church, consisting of believers since the church started, has certainly been blessed as a result of the promises made to Israel. But, a Jewish remnant who repent and believe on Jesus as their Saviour will inherit the Promised Land of Israel in the future. God inspired the prophets to write this down in the Scriptures so that the Jews and the world could know for certain that God’s promises are sure. If God did not intend on giving the Jews possession of the land of Israel, He would not have inspired the prophets to write prophesies saying that the Jews would possess the land even after all of their rebellion. Unbelieving Jews will not possess the Promised Land of Israel in the future. But, God knew that there would be a Jewish remnant of believers to inherit the land of Israel. Israel has been reborn in fulfillment of prophetic Scriptures. Israel being reborn as a nation is an open door for other prophesies to be fulfilled. More Jews will continue to be added to the remnant of Jewish believers who will possess the land of Israel in the future.

Isaiah 66:7-9 “Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. 8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. 9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.”

At childbirth, a woman goes into labor. Another word for labor is “travail”. The “she” in Isaiah 66 refers to the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel did not feel the travail and pain of Jesus being born until after he was born. In fact, most Jews rejected Jesus as their Saviour and Messiah. But, shortly after Jesus was born the nation of Israel felt some travail and pain. The wicked King Herod sent out orders having many Jewish babies murdered. He intended on killing Jesus in this horrific murder of innocent Jewish babies. Since that time, many other tragedies have unfolded in the nation of Israel and against the Jewish people. But, the prophecy of Isaiah was set in motion when Jesus, the man child, was born in Bethlehem, Isaiah 66:7.

When Israel was reborn in one day this was the miracle prophesied by Isaiah. Nothing like this has ever been heard about or seen before. Every other nation that has fallen in total destruction in the past never rose again. But, Israel literally has risen from the ashes. The most amazing thing about the rebirth of Israel as a nation is that it happened after almost 2,000 years. The earth is divided up into nations. God sets these boundaries for the nations. The Promised Land was given by God to the Jews. This is prophesied by Isaiah and others to be the nation of Israel. Could a nation be reborn from the Earth in one day? The answer is yes! God caused the nation of Israel to be reborn on May 14, 1948. Zion is another name for Israel. Even though there was no travail before the birth of Jesus, there was much travail as the Jews started to return to Israel. Since Israel became a nation in one day, the Arab nations surrounding it have constantly attacked the nation of Israel, Isaiah 66:8.

Many people, including politicians, have predicted the total destruction of the nation of Israel since its rebirth. In 1948, General George Marshall, a spokesman for the U.S. State Department, warned David Ben-Gurion that if he declared Israel as an independent state five Arab armies would march against them and wipe out all of the Jews. Even though the Arab armies had more soldiers and superior weapons, they were defeated by the nation of Israel. God had already prophesied through Isaiah that Israel would be reborn as a nation. Israel travailed in birth pains and God promised that Israel would continue as a nation. God is not going to put the children of Israel back in the womb. The nation of Israel is here to stay. Even though it will face more defeats in the future, God will save a Jewish remnant to rule in the nation of Israel with Jesus, the Saviour and Messiah, Isaiah 66:9.

On May 16, 1948, the Palestine Post headline said “State Of Israel Is Born”. Part of the article read as follows:

“The first independent Jewish state in nineteen centuries was born in Tel Aviv as the British Mandate over Palestine came to an end at midnight on Friday, and it was immediately subjected to the test of fire. As the State of Israel was proclaimed, the battle for Jerusalem raged, with most of the city falling to the Jews. At the same time, President Truman announced that the United States would accord recognition of the new State. A few hours later, Palestine was invaded by Moslem armies from the south, east, and north.” (1)

Only a foolish person would predict the total defeat of Israel forever. God promised that Israel would be reborn and that it would continue to exist in the future. God is standing with the Jews as they defend the Promised Land of Israel. Those who oppose the nation of Israel are opposing God. A Jewish remnant will continue to possess the nation of Israel in the future. The prophecy of the Bible is 100% true. When we realize that past prophecy came true, this should increase our faith about prophecy that will be fulfilled in the future. If God said it, you can be sure that it will happen.

If you are Jewish, we encourage you to repent of your sins and believe on Jesus as your Saviour. Call on Jesus in prayer and ask him to save you before it is too late! Likewise, we encourage all Gentiles to repent and believe on Jesus, the Jewish Saviour.
