LIFE WITH BIG BROTHER
'Very intrusive powers – as intrusive as someone busting down your door'
Police and state intelligence agencies from several countries may soon be working together to secretly hack into private citizens' personal computers without their knowledge and without a warrant.
According to a London Times report, the police hacking process, called "remote searching," enables law enforcement to gather information from e-mails, instant messages and Web browsers, even while hundreds of miles away.
Furthermore, the Times reports, a new edict by the European Union's council of ministers in Brussels has paved the way for international law enforcement agencies to begin remote searching and sharing the information with each other. According to the Times, the United Kingdom's Home Office, the nation's lead government department for immigration, drugs and counter-terrorism enforcement, has already quietly adopted a plan that would enable French, German and other European Union police forces to request remote searching be done on UK citizens' computers.
What factual questions need to be asked about our Messiah? To explore these questions and find the truth is no shame, for God himself has put forth His truth so we would not be misled in any way. That is why we have the Bible, the truest book ever written. What must the Messiah do in order for us to know that He is the Messiah?
He must suffer for our sins as the prophet Isaiah foretold in the Bible.
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed." The Book of Isaiah 53:5
Does the Bible tell us where on His body He will be wounded?
His hands and feet will be pierced:
"And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends." The Book of Zechariah 13:6
"For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet." The Book of Psalms 22:16
His back and face will be smitten:
"I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair. I hid not my face from shame and spitting." The Book of Isaiah 50:6
"Now gather thyself in troops, 0 daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek." The Book of Micah 5:1

Philipp Philips had the good fortune, like so many Jewish people, to descend from a pious family, and at an early age he became acquainted with the literature of his nation. Later he became Rabbi of a Synagogue in New York and one Friday evening he entered the synagogue just at the moment the cantor was singing the words: "O Bridegroom, meet the Bride., let us go forward to bring in the Sabbath . . . Arise from the dust. Put on your beautiful garments, My people., through the son of Jesse from Bethlehem comes salvation to my soul." And Philips earnestly, longed for salvation. His heart was full of fear that he might not be saved so he took refuge in his books.

At an National Hope of Israel Conference on Israel, Prophecy, and the End Times, Dr. K. Daniel Fried, Director of HIBM, preached a heart stirring message. During this time, he gave his testimony of salvation. An Israeli Jewish man was saved as a result of this message.
Dr. Fried on the left, celebrating his love for Israel and the Jewish people. He always reminds us to Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall proper that love thee.

Although these documents were written down AFTER the NT period, these represent typically VERY ancient understandings of OT passages. If the Targums interpreted OT passages messianically, this generally indicates that ancient Jewry had messianic expectations. We also know that Targums circulated BEFORE the NT times, since some of them were found at Qumran.
The Targums. [The word 'messiah' occurs in the following places (with the exception of the Ezek passages)...source: S.H. Levey, The Messiah: An Aramaic Interpretation, Monograph of the Hebrew Union College 2: Cincinnati: 1974.--cited with chart at NWNTI:108.].

A Sermon
(No. 1729)
Delivered on Thursday Evening, June 14th, 1883, by
C. H. SPURGEON,
At the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Newington
"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."—Luke 24:47.
The servants of God were not left to originate a gospel for themselves, as certain modern teachers appear to do, nor were they even left to map out their mode of procedure in the spreading of the glad tidings. They were told by their great Master what to preach, and where to preach it, and how to preach it, and even where to begin to preach it. There is ample room for the exercise of our thought in obeying Christ's commands; but the worldly wise in these days call no one a thoughtful person who is content to be a docile follower of Jesus. They call themselves "thoughtful and cultured" simply because they set up their own thoughts in opposition to the thoughts of God. It were well if they would remember the old proverb—"Let another praise thee, and not thine own lips." As a rule those who call themselves "intellectual" are by no means persons of great intellect. Great minds seldom proclaim their own greatness. These boasters are not satisfied to be "followers of God, as dear children," but must strike out a path for themselves; this reveals their folly rather than their culture. We shall find use for every faculty which we possess, even if we are endowed with ten talents, in doing just as we are bidden by our Lord. Implicit obedience is not thoughtless: on the contrary, it is necessary to its completeness that heart and mind should be active in it.
I was a Jewish Rabbi for 35 years. Born in Yugoslavia, I was brought up in a very Orthodox Jewish home. I was taught to say formal prayers and wear tefillin as prescribed for every pious Jew (Deuteronomy 6:8; 11:18).
At the age of I5 I went to the theological school for Rabbis where I studied the Hebrew Bible and Talmudic commentaries and six years later I was ordained as Rabbi in Romania. Afterwards I served in Belgium, England and California.
Outwardly I was happy and successful in my ministry, but in my heart I was restless and discontented because I suffered much as a result of the emptiness of life in general...
