 SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — If you’re amazed – and maybe even a little alarmed – about how much Google seems to know about you, brace yourself. Beginning Thursday, Google will operate under a streamlined privacy policy that enables the Internet’s most powerful company to dig even deeper into the lives of its more than 1 billion users.

 Google says the changes will make it easier for consumers to understand how it collects personal information, and allow the company to create more helpful and compelling services. Critics, including most of the country’s state attorneys general and a top regulator in Europe, argue that Google is trampling on people’s privacy rights in its relentless drive to sell more ads [More]

Editorial Opinion: by Dr. K. Daniel Fried, Director of HIBM – hopeofisrael.net

        One of the clearest prophecies of the last days that is coming true before our eyes is Daniel 12:4 “Knowledge shall be increased”. I remember the days when the first Mac PC came out and I thought 10 megabytes for a hard-drive was incredible. Now you can buy a removable memory stick that can hold 16 gigabytes, or a hard-drive that can hold 2 terabytes , a blue-ray disc can hold 50 gigabytes and they are working on ones that can a lot more. Every  year we hear about new technologies to hold more information and faster ways to transmit such information.  This enable us throughout world to increase in knowledge at a rapid pace. Remember hearing about the days when it took  months to get mail by horseback, now we get the News from one side of world  almost real time, and the news is reported instantaneously via the Internet or satellite. They “increased” knowledge will make it possible for the world viewer to witness the Martyrdom of the Two Witnesses in the Tribulation Time;

(Rev 11:9)  And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. vrs 10  And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

If you aren’t convinced yet that we are nearer to the seven year Tribulation period than ever before, then consider the following article about “laser” beams being used to transfer data at such speeds never yet imagined. It also shows once again how the Bible is true and that these last day prophecies are in fact coming true, for us, in real time. The question you must ask yourself, what are you going to do with these developments. The Bible teaches that all these things are warnings in order to draw us to the Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ before the Judgement of God falls upon the earth. Flee to the Lord now and be saved, if you wait  – it might be too late.  Because of false teachers like Harold Camping who have falsely predicted the exact day of the Rapture of the Church ;  many had been deceived and many are mocking Bible Prophecy today. Just because false prophets are making false predictions, does not negate reality of the truthfulness in God’s Warnings from His Word the Bible!

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
Daniel 12:4

   “”Computer users who despair over slow internet connections should take heart – German scientists have broken a speed record, sending 700 DVDs’ worth of data via a single laser beam, in one second.

The scientists at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) said this week they had broken the world record by sending data at a speed of 26 terabits per second.

The data, sent over 50 kilometres (31 miles) on a single laser beam, was coded using a system known as orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) in which the laser beam is divided into separate colour streams.

“Scariest speed camera of all… It checks your insurance, tax and even whether you are tailgating or not wearing a seatbelt”
“Even the most law-abiding driver might feel a shiver down the spine when spotting this speed camera at the roadside.”

For as well as detecting speeding, it is packed with gizmos that check number plates to make sure insurance and tax are up to date. It also measures the distance between vehicles to spot tailgating and takes pictures of the inside of the car – to make sure you are wearing a seat belt. The latest weapon in speed camera technology can capture footage from 150ft away. It is the first to detect multiple offences at the same time and is connected to police computers via satellite, so that prosecutions can be started within seconds of any offense. Development of the system, known as Asset – Advanced Safety and Driver Support for Essential Road Transport – is being funded with around £7million of European money. It is undergoing testing in Finland and is expected to be deployed across Europe from 2013, with each unit costing £50,000. Motoring organisations gave it a mixed reception. AA president Edmund King said: ‘Tailgating is more dangerous in most cases than speeding so I think most motorists would welcome it.

‘But it needs to be a safety measure, not a money-making machine.’

Campaign group Speed Cameras Dot Org said the device should not become a replacement for traffic police. The Asset camera is being tested by the VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland. It is currently mounted on a trailer but it is eventually expected to be converted to fit inside police vehicles.

Matti Kutila, senior research scientist at VTT, said: ‘The main intention is to support traffic police so that drivers follow traffic rules such as wearing seat belts, keep to the speed limit and maintain sufficient distance to the vehicle in front.
